playgroups

Sorry I haven't been on here lately! My internet's been down and Christian and I have been sick. We caught a nasty cold over Christmas, we finally got over it last week and now my husband brought home another one, so we're all sick again! Christian's not taking it well. He's not sleeping or eating good and he's fussy all day so I don't think we'll be making it. Sorry!

What time is it? Sorry it's been awhile. IS this the cake decorating day?

Andrew and I will be there - maybe just a tad late though because we have to take the hubby to work first.

Natasha and Christian, I hope you guys get well soon. We all had a nasty cold over Christmas too and it took so long to get rid of it. If you need anything let me know, I'd be glad to help out.
Adelina and Miranda, yes it's cake decorating day so bring what tools you have and if you can bring a baked two layer cake that would be great. I will just be going over basics today and showing you what I have. I also want to find out what you guys already know.
I'm just planning on making some simple finger foods if you guys want lunch, nothing big on cake day. Can't wait to see you guys.

awww drat, sorry I missed it, I was really looking forward to it too. The girls both started taking naps at 11, so that is a bad time for me now. Hope you guys had fun!

Are we still doing playgroup/cake decorating tomorrow? Is anyone else going to be there? I feel bad that you're getting everything ready for just me, especially pulling out all of your cake stuff. Do we need to rethink the date and/or time? Adelina said her girls are now napping at 11...what time would work instead?

I propose that we still try to do playgroup every Wed at 1 and I will just have a few snacks instead of lunch. Since today is Wed I will still be here to have people come. Also, if you want to bring a friend or something I don't mind. The more the merrier.
For cakes I would like to move it to doing it every Fri or Sat morning. My husband will be home and can help with kids if you need to bring them. Cakes will be easier without too much distraction.
Have you been practicing Miranda?
Let me know if a new time on Wed will work and let me know about the cakes. I really want to do both so I hope to have some still interested.

1 would definately be better for us. It's about when they are waking up, so some days we may be a little late, but better than not at all! We may not make it this week. We just found out Mark has influenza A, meaning he's stuck home all week. I'd really hate to spread it around if I or the girls have it as well.

You know how they say bad things come in three's? Well our colds do. We just barely got over the one we had an got another one! It was a bad one too, body aches, fever, chills, the works. We were miserable and all three of us had it at the same time. We're feeling mostly better now though. Christian still has a little bit of a gooey/weepy eye but I'm hoping it will get better soon and we'll be able to start coming to playdates again. I feel bad for not being there but I just didn't want to get anybody else or their kids sick and I didn't want to take Christian out when he wasn't feeling well. Christian's naps are kind of all over the place right now because he can't decide wether he still needs two or not but I think Wednesday at one o'clock will work for us. I'd still like to come to cake decorating but we're gone usually about every other Saturday, Friday's might work though, it just depends. Anyway I hope I can make it soon! And sorry I haven't been more often!

I'm sorry we didn't make it this last Wednesday. I wanted to let you know but the battery and/or AC adaptor for our computer died and I had to wait for a replacement. I am planning on being there Wednesday for playgroup. Are you doing cakes this week also? I am totally excited to keep going. I haven't had a lot of time to practice, but I'm still excited to keep trying If we do cakes at 9 on Friday, I'll need to leave by about 10:45, just fyi.

Sorry you're having a bad month Natasha, the body ache fever thing sounds just like Mark's flu. I'm really going to try and make it this week, but we just found out Chloe has the neginning of an ear infection, so it just depends on how she's feeling midweek if we do anything or not.
9 am? cake decorating. I could definately make that, and would really love to still!

We'll plan on cakes on Friday's at 9 then. I will try to limit it to about an hour or so. If you guys are planning on coming this week I will just go over basics of cakes and talk about things so don't worry about bringing anything unless you have the time to stay extra and want to practice icing a cake. Miranda did some cake stuff already but a refresher and practice wouldn't hurt.

This is like the fifth time I've tried to write this, thank goodness we're getting new internet today!!! We're feeling much better now so we'll plan on being there tomorrow and Friday too, if we can get a ride. I'm so excited to come again and hopefully now that winter is almost over we will be done with all the sickness. Christian's first birthday is next month and I want make him a ducky cake, maybe you can help me come up with the best way to do that?

I'm so glad you guys are feeling better. Hopefully nothing else will hit you guys. Being sick is miserable. If no one else can get you, I could come and get you at least this week. I will work on a plan for you to be able to make some kind of ducky cake and let you know my ideas on Friday.

Nevermind, it's kind of late to get a ride now, we'll just plan on being there on Friday for cakes, can anyone besides lemgirl give us a ride so she doesn't have to worry about that and trying to get setup too?

Miranda doesn't have her computer right now, it's being fixed. I know she is planning on coming but I don't know her number. If you have it from last time she gave you a ride you could probably give her a call. Also, I don't know if Adelina is coming. I know she was interested. I am still willing to come and get you. Send me a pm with your address by tomorrow night if you need me to come get you. (just to make sure I get the message)

I'm over at my mom's right now using her computer. If you need a ride on Friday, let me know. You'll have to call me though. I'll send you a PM with my phone # just in case you do. And I'm willing to do rides for playgroup too.

I messed up my knee last night and have an appointment tomorrow morning at 10, so we won't be able to make it to cakes tomorrow...I don't know if Tosha will be there eitger since I'm her ride. Sorry

I'm so mad I won't be there for cakes!! Chloe still has this awful cough and congestion and to top things off Venice woke up with a high fever in the middle of the night and a cough and has been laid out on the couch most of the day. I'm really not having a good week....oh and if you'd like you can start calling me Jed because the State Tax people changed my name last year, and even they don't know why.

Miranda, I hope everything is okay with your knee.

I hope people see this today. I know others have been sick so I didn't know if anyone was planning on coming today. I am going to have to cancel though. My little guy has been sick and I thought he was better but he woke up this morning coughing. I think it is just that build up from overnight but I want to be safe. Sorry guys.
