Re: Since I'm new to the valley
Get ready!!
County Fair this week! Soooo many booths, ENJOY!
North Logan library has a free G-rated movie every Tues. at 2:00 p.m.
Kids activities and classes at Macey's (call or check paper by the door), Lowe's (on the first Saturday of every month) & Home Depot (on the first Saturday of every month)
Storytime at the Willow Park Zoo Thursdays at 11:00 all summer.
Bus is free--ride around the valley without having to drive.
Eccles Ice Center accepts volunteers to work around the rink, if you work for 1 hour you get a free pass to skate.
USU Estuarine Ranch allows kids 12 and up to work 8 hours through the week (you can make your own schedule) then have a 2 hours riding lesson for the work you've done.
Logan, Hyrum (and I'm sure others) Libraries all have a summer reading program and reading parties. Newton library has the Rosetta Spanish program, you can learn Spanish for free.
Of course, you know all the local parks and hiking trails are everywhere. There is even an awesome park up Blacksmith Fork for us Hyrum people.
You can camp and fish for free at Newton Dam. However, the Dam waters are on a catch n release restriction but a good environment for learning to fish. There is also a shooting range at Newton dam, its free to shoot there, you just need to clean up after yourself.
You can schedule a tour with the local fire department and they will show the kids the house and trucks.
Sorry... it's the homeschooling mom coming out in me, I'm sure I could come up with tons more! But I gotta run to my niece's first birthday party!

WOW! I've lived here for 4 years and I didn't know half of that stuff!
Re: Since I'm new to the valley
Thank you so much for that Brandilyn!!
North Logan Library also has story time from 10-10:30 on Tuesdays for toddlers starting back up in September.
Borders has story time on Saturdays at noon (let me double check the time on this one!)
Cache Valley Fun Park has a huge soft play area that I take my toddler to alot. It's $3 for the soft play.
